Manly Warringah Rugby League Club Camera Club

It seems everyone is taking photos and posting them on social media, yet camera clubs still attract enthusiasts seeking to learn more. Photographers with varying levels of experience and camera gear meet regularly to have their work critiqued or attend information presentations. Sharing the love of photography engenders a spirit of fellowship and mentoring is also available.

Our club was founded 55 years ago and provided many enthusiasts with an opportunity to use dark room facilities otherwise beyond their reach. The digital age has since made photography more accessible to everyone.

The club meets twice a month, February to November, with approximately twelve competition nights and four presentation nights. Meetings commence at 7.30pm and finish at 10.00pm.

Competitions are critiqued without the member's name displayed in either digital or print categories to avoid embarrassment. The competition program challenges you to try a genre other than those with which you are comfortable. You can also enter competitions at city, state, national and international levels.

Presentation nights vary from technical and creative tutoring to photography presentations by professionals.

Younger members are always needed. There are presently around 50 financial members and up to 40 exhibiting at each competition or attending presentation nights.

Experience and expertise varies widely and beginners are welcome.

The club meets every second and fourth Thursday February to November at the Many Warringah Rugby League Club commencing 7.30pm sharp

Our aim is to aid and benefit, by mutual co-operation, those interested in photography.

Visitors are always very welcome.
